Windows Vista offers 6 editions:

  • Windows Vista Starter - With limitation like: allowing a maximum of three applications with a user interface at once, not accepting incoming network connections, a physical memory limit of 1 GB, etc.
  • Windows Vista Home Basic - With no advanced media support.
  • Windows Vista Home Premium - With limitation of one physical CPU.
  • Windows Vista Business - Can join and participate in a Windows Server domain. But limited to two physical CPUs.
  • Windows Vista Enterprise - Can support for Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packages. But limited to two physical CPUs.
  • Windows Vista Ultimate - Supports all features.
