How do I setup the %Oracle_Home% to convert the initialization parameter file into a Server Parameter file (SPFILE. My OS is window 7 and when I substitute \oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\ as the path for my oracle_home I am getting an error. In Window XP c:\oraclexe is the oracle_base and \proct\10.2.0\server is oracle_home. These OS environment variable enable the root path to be reference by %oracle_home% within windows Please assist me to set up this enviroment in windows 7 for Express Editor 10g oracle database.
